The Highland area is the biggest so of course there are certain differences but
they are nothing compared to Islay whiskey and that's the fine thing with it
all,
you will always find a whiskey to your taste.
A *real* smooth whiskey is Knockando and I don't think you've heard of that
either.

As I said, that's up to each and everyone. Macallan is considered by some of
the experts to be the wiskey Rolls Roys and I almost agree with that.

I am a member of the Classic Malt so I get a newsletter every now and then
and right now reading an article by Peter Campbell, the manager at Port Ellen
Malting how they make, the a bit secret process, of Caol Ila.

One of my highest whishes is to return to Scotland and do a tour around to the
destilleries and sit an evening in the local pub, out in the middle of nowhere,
drinking a beer and a chatting with the locals. We did that a couple of years
ago but then we didn't have the time since we had a fixed date when we had
to return.
If/when we do, the membership in Classic Malt gives me the right to visit and
meet the people of the destilleries that are involved in this club, such as
Caol
Ila, Cardhu, Clynelish, Cragganmore, Glen Elgin, Glenkinchie, Oban and
Dalwhinnie. Sounds good eh.....
