 These mountains...are they part of the Appalachian
 chain? Because if they are, I would call them at least
 ex-mountains. Years ago I went to a lecture by a sort
 of paleo-geologist, who specialized in studying the
 very early history of the physical Earth. According to
 him, the Appalachians are probably the oldest
 surviving mountain chain in the world, and when
 they were new, thrown up by the crashing of tectonic
 plates, they were greater than the Himalayas are now.
 (I think the Himalayas are still growing as the India
 subcontinent is slowly sliding under the Asian plate.
 That's why they have such horrific earthquakes in the
 region.) Anyway, our nubby little Appalachian
 mountains have worn down over time so vast my mind
 cannot encompass it. And yet, there are seabed
 fossils found on top of these ancient mountains, from
 before they were thrown up by tectonic action, so
 how old are those fossils? My family has some of
 those fossils (unless Mom's thrown them out) from
 when we tried to build a house on one of the
 Appalachian foothills and were doing some
 exploratory digging. Anyway, I gained some respect
 for our little Appalachians from that lecture.

      2 c  Orange juice
    1/2 c  Sugar
