hehe :)  Well, if they don't trim the vines back in the fall, they won't
produce as much in the fall, that could be the problem... with mine, I cut them
way back in Sept. rather viciously :)  Then by the time grape time rolls
around, the vines are all over the arbor, the surrounding pine trees next to
the arbor which cross into the neighbor's yard, etc., and more (grin).. I get
tons of grapes.. enough for me, the birds, the neighbors, etc. at least
usually... This years weather was so weird though, who knows.. first frosts up
til last week?? then heat waves THIS week?? geez.. I dunno.. I don't even know
 if my garden will make it without any rain after these days of 90F.. it's
rough with garden beds since they don't hold water quite as well as a normal
garden even though I use a real heavy mix of peatmoss.. And the plants are all
"so young" relatively speaking :( Maybe tonight if I have the energy I can turn
on the sprinkler..

haha.. know what you mean there :)  Then you have to do something with that ton
of fruit :)  so now you'll have the equipment to do "something" :) It's neat
since I always found things to use the jam for as well after I made it so it
was normally just "laying around" for long (grin).. especially the strawberry
jam.. I made yogurt and would use it the yogurt, etc. or I'd make cookies and
use it in the cookies. Same with the applesauce (applesauce cake, etc..) I
still have a few jars of canned apples in my cupboard from last season for
apple pie from last year (grin)..but that filling came out so sweet, it was way
too sweet (crummy recipe I found). I was trying a new one that didn't use
cornstarch so my grandson could eat it becaus of his allergy to corn :) Anyway,
you get the idea :)

Yeah, I'm sure you'll have no problem.. :)  and I'm sure my whole problem was I
was just a kid, not experienced in the kitchen... I probably wasn't in "high
school" probably more like middle school... 12-13?  something like that :)  You
know, the tall, klutzy age?  Lol.. Whatever, definitely didn't have much in the
way of cooking experience with hot boiling syrup obviously :)
