JK> It would seem we do lose some messages in this echo.. If you look at
JK> your path, 261/1466 123/500 261/38, it looks like you get your
JK> echomail from Ross, correct? Carol gets her mail from Bob
 JK> Seaborn I believe.

Both statements are true. I posted a message from Rob's BBS
yesterday. It got to me here via path of 288/34 14/5 140/1 123/500.

JK> As an echomail "star", I get and send
JK> mail from all the other stars, who are Bob Seaborn, Ross,
JK> myself, Brenda Donovan and Matt Bedynek. This multiplicity
JK> of connections between the star systems is supposed to keep
JK> problems like you mention from happening, but obviously
JK> there is a system among us that is losing some mail. :(

And the strange thing is that it was sporadic. See my message to her
that I posted from Rob's BBS. The first two messages she posted that
day got to me through Ross. The next four did not. I cannot see
MSGIDs on the messages I did not get. Perhaps they might give a
   clue.

JK> I'll take a look at the seen-bys and see if I can determine
JK> anything and netmail you if I do. What is supposed to
JK> happen is that each of us should get "all messages" from
JK> each other, and dupe out the "extra copies" of a particular
JK> message after the first star's mail arrives. That's why I
JK> think someone is losing mail.

Thanks. I'll keep watching. I have no idea if it is happening to
anyone else's messages. It is just that I noticed your reply to a
message I was sure I had not seen.

JK> Ok, understand.. Carol and I had talked about that here in
JK> the echo a little while back, and I'd mentioned it would be
JK> fine here then. Perhaps you didn't see that message either
 :(

I recall some discussion, some recent and some several months ago --
   but no commitment.

 > Hence, so far as I can tell it is still up for grabs as to where the
 > picnic is going to be. Do you want it to be at your place?

JK> Sure, it would be great. We've got plenty of space, indoors and out..
JK> Binghamton, NY, is about 10-15 minutes away, for those who
JK> couldn't deal with the small-town-ness of Windsor where we
 JK> are <grin>. It's a very rural village, pop. of about 800-
JK> 900 though we're right in the village on Main Street

We had one picnic in Newark NY, also a small town. Most of us
stayed at motels about 20 minutes away.

You sound willing to sponsor the 2008 summer picnic at your place.
Sounds good to me. Pick a date and go for it! We are going to be
on a tour in mid-June. Michael always has a 4th of July commitment
in Salem, MA. Why don't you ask for others to give you feed back as
   to good/bad times?

<grin>. I can understand if people would rather go to
 JK> Dave's, no problem.

Dave has volunteered as a backup, but he has done a number of
   gatherings.
