Lexi would love spending a day at my parents' home in Johnson City, Tennessee.

My parents live within about two miles of the Cherokee National Forest and
have had several bears go through their yard!  They have several raccoons that
like to stick their paws up into the bird feeder if my mom accidentally leaves
it out overnight.

They (my parents and grandparents who live right above my parents) set out an
old saucepan filled with mixed seed early every morning outside under a pine
tree in the front yard.  Last March when I was up there, I saw the following
animals eat out of it in about 30 minutes time: a doe and her two kids,
several squirrels, Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal, Mr. Blue Jay, a couple of other
birds, Mr. Raven who scared off the squirrels and other birds and a wily ol'
raccoon who was probably getting a bite to eat before bed.

And all I did was sit silently on the bench that is on my parents' porch and
watch!

There's a Mr. and Mrs. Hawk too that have a nest near there.  They like to
come by as well as the turkey vultures.

      Title: Breakfast Sausage Bread

      Yield: 1 Servings

MMMMM-----------------------TASTE OF HOME----------------------------
      2    Frozen white bread dough;
           -thawed
    1/2 lb Mild pork sausage
    1/2 lb Hot pork sausage
  1 1/2 c  Diced fresh mushrooms
    1/2 c  Onion; chopped
      3    Eggs
  2 1/2 c  Mozzarella cheese; shredded
      1 ts Dried basil; parsley flakes
      1 ts Garlic powder

  Recipe by: TASTE OF HOME DEC/JAN 1996 Allow dough to rise until nearly
  doubled. Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble
  sausage. Add mushrooms and onion. Cook and stir until the sausage is
  browned and vegetables are tender; drain. cool. Beat 1 egg; set
  aside. To sausage mixture, add 2 eggs, cheese and seasonings; mix
  well. Roll each loaf of dough into a 16x12" rectangle. Spread half
  the sausage mixture on each loaf to within 1" of edges. Roll
  jelly-roll style, starting at a narrow end; seal edges. Place on a
  greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes; brush with
  beaten egg. Bake 5-10 minutes more or until golden brown. Serve warm.
