Yeah, that would do it nicely I bet. I'm so used to not using a crockpot since
I umm.. dropped the crock of the thing and cracked it <g>

Hmm.. I've got one that's simpler I think... but lots of sugar.. I'm trying to
see how I can change that in this recipe:

=====EnergyBars=========
Grease a 9x9-inch square pan lined with tin foil. Preheat oven to 350F.

Combine in a med. bowl:
1 1/2 cups packed dried fruit (apricots, pitted dates, raisins, figs,
 cherries and/or cranberries), coarsely chopped.
1 cup old-fashioned oats
3/4 cups flour
1 cup packed Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, almonds 1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Add and stir well until blended:
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (1 1/2 sticks) 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Press the mixture into the pan.  Bake until the top is golden brown, about 35
to 40 minutes. Cool in the pan on a rack.

Maybe a little closer to one step?  Mix, melt butter, mix, bake <g> I made
these the other night, they were really good.. but the sugar and butter (so
much dairy in one day) got to me <grin>.  I'd made New England Clam Chowder for
dinner, and should have realized I'd max out on the dairy intake with this one
:)
