Last Saturday when I made the orzo, I cooked it in half chicken broth,
half water and dumped the cooking liquid.  A friend asked why I didn't
save it; I told her it was to the point where I wanted it used up. Don't
know how well it would have worked in "regular" cooking with the starch
from the orzo anyway.

Save some for tomorrow!  We're heading up to Brighter Day later this
afternoon.  I'll be picking up some regular brown rice to bring up for
the picnic; I presume you're still planning to bring your rice cooker.
Is it a (finished yied) 20 cup cooker like mine, more or less capacity?

Some things are worth the money. Good food for good health is one of
them.  The rest of the supper ingredients were relatively inexpensive
but of top quality as well.

OTOH, my mom isn't as independent.  She's quite crippled up with
rheumitiod arthritis.

Especially reading them back years later. Charlotte was 7; this was
before you went to Japan, etc (on the following posting).
