Not gonna happen - once the arteries harden they are pretty well set. Like
cement. I *might* get rid of the diabetes drugs and be able to exist using diet
and (shudder) exercise to control the blood glucose levels. I have already
ditched the cholesterol pills - as they made no difference one way or the other
in my cholesterol levels.

Well, yeah - the site where I got it is a blog written by a Filipino woman. She
says:

"Paksiw is the generic name for stews made with vinegar. It has a long history
in Philippine cuisine because before there was refrigeration, vinegar acted as
a preservative for prolonging the shelf life of meat and fish.

Paksiw is most commonly associated with lechon or whole roasted pig. A rather
expensive dish, lechon is often served only on very special occasions like
weddings and fiestas. And Filipinos are notorious for going overboard when it
comes to party food. Since lechon is not much good the day after, leftovers are
cooked as paksiw.

Cooking turkey paksiw is not much different from cooking lechon paksiw except
for the substitution of turkey meat for the lechon. Cooking time is also
shorter. And because you don't have leftover lechon sauce, you will either have
to use bottled lechon sauce or make it yourself."

Title: Speedy's Three Little Pigs Sandwich
 Categories: Breads, Pork, Vegetables, Sandwiches
      Yield: 2 servings

      1 sm Loaf bread
           +=OR=+
      2 Buns
           +=OR=+
      2 sl Crusty bread
      1 tb Butter; softened
      1 tb Mayo
      4 sl SPAM; pan fried
4 sl (to 6) bacon; fried crisp
      2 Sausages; split vertically,
           - pan fried
2 lg Eggs; fried sunny side up
      1 md onion; thin sliced
      1 lg Tomato; thin sliced
           Very thin slices cucumber
2 lg Thick slices of cheese
           Generous handful torn or
           - shredded lettuce leaves

Speedy's version of the three little pigs, the original the
pride of the Silver Palm restaurant in Chicago. The sandwich
gets its name from the three kinds of pork filling: smoked
ham, breaded pork cutlet and bacon. The meat are piled on
the bottom half of a bun, smothered with melted Gruyhre
cheese, topped with fried egg and served with French fries.

Speedy's version uses pan fried SPAM, Italian garlic
sausages and bacon - with slices of peppery cheese and raw
vegetables, and served with homemade potato chips. Not for
the faint of heart, literally and figuratively. But I am of
the persuasion that it is worth trying anything at least
once and Speedy's three little pigs was quite an adventure.

  A seriously delicious adventure.

Toast the bread and brush with butter.

Spread the mayo on both halves of the bread.

Lay the cheese slices on the bottom half.

Line up the fried SPAM slices on top of the cheese.

Pile the bacon on top of the SPAM slices.

Add a nice layer of cucumber slices, followed by tomato
slices. Then, add the sausages. Arrange the onion slices
  on top of the sausages.

The eggs go on top of the onions followed by the lettuce.

Cover the fillings with the top half of the bread and you
have your three little pigs sandwich.

If you used a bread that's too large for one, cut into
  halves or thirds.

  Makes two servings
