Yep, fortunately I had my Navy pay
as well..and money from surfing lessons,
and ..well I was a pretty good poker player
and pool player back in those days too!

-> Those numbers are all way below the poverty line. Are there places
-> that actually pay that little? And can they ever hire anyone?

When you don't have a job you look for
whatever you can get. I have a nephew who
lives in South Carolina and if he decides he
does not like his job, there are people lined
up at the gate each day who will take it. My
nephew does custom counter installs, granite
and other stone counters mostly, but his hours
are long, pay is low, no overtime, and if he does
not like it....there's the door...he's got a family
to feed...he takes the abuse and the low pay
and the company owner keeps the profits.

-> The min here is $10 and that covers everyone including tipped
-> employees, youth, trainees and live in nannies (less a reasonable
-> room and board deduction). Hell, I pay Neekha $10 an hour for
-> shovelling snow and Lexi $5 for helping sweep the steps.

Folks should be able to earn a 
wage that they can live on whatever
sort of job they have.
