I suspect that this has less to do with turkeys than with being a street fair
and excuse to PARTAAAAAAY!!! Although they claim to serve their "famous grilled
turkey".

BTW - my local Hardee's has begun serving "turkey burgers". They have been
putting BOGO coupons in the local fish wrapper - so, I thought, "what the hey?"
and tried a brace of them. Hardee's has *GREAT* fast food burgers. But, their
"turkey burger" is neither a burger, nor strictly edible.

The puck is not made of ground turkey - rather, some chopped, processed,
formed, pressed and flavour de-enhanced patty of something. It's hard to chew
and has all the flavour and texture of a similar sized puck of chipboard (the
backing on a child's tablet). Even dressed with lettuce, tasteless tomato,
pickles and vinegary mayo it was horrid. I found that if I took the puck out of
the bun and ate the bread and condiments it was better than with the meat(?) in
the mix.

When I gave the discarded puck to one of the neighbour's semi-feral cats she
tried to bury it.  Bv)=

      Title: Bacon-wrapped Turkey Burgers
 Categories: Five, Poultry, Breads, Pork
      Yield: 6 servings
 
     12 sl Bacon; thick
      2 lb Fresh ground turkey
    1/2 c  Fine dry bread crumbs
      1 ts Worcestershire Sauce
    1/2 ts Garlic salt
 
  Set oven control to broil and|or 550xF/285xC. Cook
  bacon until limp; cool.

  Mix turkey, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce and
  garlic salt. Salt and pepper to taste.

  Shape into 6 patties, 1/2" inch thick.

  Crisscross 2 slices bacon on each patty, tucking ends
  under; secure with wooden picks.

  Broil with tops about 4" from heat until turkey springs
  back when touched and is no longer pink, about 4 mins
  on each side.
