I've decided the same thing. Google does not know wla-wla.

And these were clearly marked right on the onions with those little
stickers with the produce code on them as Vidalias, product of the
USA.

They do and they do, thanks to the miracle of air fright.

There's something peculiar in the distribution channels as I never
ever see that kind here.

I like both kinds depending on what I'm preparing. I passed on the
Vidalias which were $2.68 per pound and bought a single, large,
generic sweet white onion for $0.69, a nice looking red skin for the
same price and a ten pound bag of regular yellow onions for $3.39
instead.

      Title: Buffalo Chili Onions
 Categories: Cajun, Onions, Chilies, Grill
      Yield: 16 Servings
 
    1/2 c  cayenne pepper sauce
    1/2 c  cup butter, melted
      1 tb Chili powder
      4 lg Sweet onions, cut into
    1/2    -inch slices
    1/4 c  olive oil
    1/4 c  chili sauce
 
  Whisk together cayenne hot sauce, butter, olive oil, chili sauce
  and chili powder in medium bowl until blended. Brush on onion
  slices. Place onions on grid. Grill over medium high coals 10
  minutes or until tender, turning and basting often with the chili
  mixture. Serve warm.

  Tip: Onions may be prepared ahead and grilled just before serving.
