Not really. There's a multitiered system based on how
American you look. If you appear nativish or at least
European European, not much is expected - rounding up
to the nearest 1 or 10 or something. If you appear
American, the expectation is greater, and the attention
they pay you is greater by the same token. One wonders
how to deal with this - I tend to shrug and pay the
penalty of my culture.

Private negotiation is always possible. Should you be
tapped for such an assignment, what financial arrangement
would induce you to go?

It's certainly a boost, but it's by no means necessary. I'd far
prefer to take care of a few free standard drinks at the club,
which provide an equal if not superior boost.

With that level of spice, it doesn't matter if the liver is
mild or not. I'd probably enjoy such a dish very much.

      Title: Spicy Topped Coffee Cake
 Categories: Coffee cake, Topping, Favorite
   Servings:  1

    1/4 c  Salad oil
      1 ea Egg; beaten
    1/2 c  Milk OR
           Non-dairy creamer*
  1 1/2 c  Flour
    3/4 c  Sugar
      2 ts Baking powder
    1/2 ts Vanilla
    1/2 ts Salt

MMMMM--------------------------SPICY TOPPING-------------------------------
    1/4 c  Brown sugar
      1 tb Flour
      1 ts Cinnamon
      1 tb Margarine; melted
    1/2 c  Nuts; chopped

  * The non-dairy liquid creamer (I use Mocha Mix brand) makes a richer
  cake. Note: I also use Lactose-Free margarine (Nucoa brand) for the
  topping.

  COFFEE CAKE: Combine salad oil, egg, sugar and milk.  Sift together dry
  ingredients; add to milk mixture, mix well.  Pour into greased and floured
  9x9x2 pan.

  SPICY TOPPING: Combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, melted butter and
  chopped nuts. Spread over cake mixture. Bake at 375 degrees 40 min or
  until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
