Hi Hap,

I just dump some boiling water over them, let them sit for a few minutes
and drain the water. Skins slip off really easy. Not technically
blanching but close enough. It's the way I learned to do tomatoes years
ago.

We will on Wed. night as I've got a 4 pm appointment in Chapel Hill.
Hopefully they won't be running as late as some times we've been there.
Tonight's supper was partly recycles (grilled chicken and potato salad)
from Saturday, part new cooked (green beans with garlic--recipe Janis
posted last year). I spent most of the day working on cucumber relish
and canning dilled green beans. The relish will be finished tomorrow and
I'll start mango chutney to be finished Wednesday. That will probably
finish my putting up until tomatoes and peaches come into season.

They also work when you've got a new born baby, a toddler, another kid
in grade school and a husband who is head master at a private school.
Even with my help, Rachel pulled out the paper several times and said
she would do it more so after I left. Can't blame her; the schedule that
they keep is jam packed.

Just have to keep looking. Saw a number of them in Savannah and got our
tortilla maker in Zebulon, a town smaller than WF but seems to have a
strong Hispanic presence. Saw that store and IIRC, another one in town
when we went thru about 18 months ago.  I can always plan on shopping in
Phoenix tho. (G)

Yes, and you need to be consistent about the time of day you do it.
Most folks seem to like to check first thing in the morning, before
breakfast. I presume you're recording the numbers too.
