I do the same basic thing for peaches as well. Really ripe ones have no
trouble shedding their skin; it's the ones you think are ripe but aren't
quite that give you grief. BTW, have a good number of tomatoes on the
Roma plants now, with more to come.

We've had days like that. Sometimes it's breakfast for supper. Tonight
Steve had to pick up a former professor from the airport at 5:15 and
take him up to WF. Because of some weather and traffic, he got home
about 6:45. We'd defrosted a small steak which he grilled to go with
swiss chard and a slight varient on a German tomato salad. Good eating
with little fuss. BTW, the tomato salad is one I posted years ago,
generally useing red wine vinegar in it. Tonight I used balsamic and it
was really good.

Probably a bit of allergies but hot and humid weather the last few days
hasn't helped. Had a good thunderstorm line blow thru earlier this
afternoon after I'd made bread and finished the chutney. I've got to do
some more baking tomorrow morning, weather guy is saying it should be
cool (low to mid 80s) instead of the low to mid 90s we've had most of
the week.

In proportion to what they get, it wouldn't surprise me. In HI, when
military housing was privatised, we paid about twice the rent for about
half the square footage we had in GA. Better kitchen in HI, plus housing
that would withstand a strong hurricane better than the GA place. Here I
think our rent is on the low side for the area but we can easily pay it
in the months Steve does not get GI Bill housing allowance.

Definately! Are things settling out in NY or is that partly the reason
for stress?

Keep tsting, noting your settings, what you've had/not had to eat,
stress indicators and how the pain in your knee factors into everything.
At some point, a pattern should begin to emerge.
