In Canada we need ID and go through security for both international
flights and between major cities by large jets but not for regional
flights. When I fly YK to Edmonton all the formal procedures are in
place. But when I fly YK to Hay River with Buffalo Joe I tear a
coupon out of my book of 20, give it to the girl at the counter and
then follow the pilot out a side door that bypasses security and
walk out to the plane. As well I can give my discount coupons to
other people and they can fly without difficulty too.

     Title: Brussels Sprouts Salad
Categories: Salads
  Servings: 12

      3 lb Brussels sprouts
    1/4 c  scallions, sliced
    1/4 c  green bell pepper, chopped
      2 oz jar pimentos, drained and
           chopped
      3 TB fresh parsley, chopped
      2 c  Italian dressing
      3 TB capers, drained
      2 TB lemon juice
    1/2 ts hot sauce
    1/4 ts fresh ground black pepper

Clean Brussels sprouts, cut off ends and take off outer leaves. 
In large pot, cover Brussels sprouts with water and bring to boil.
Reduce to medium heat and cook for 20 minutes or until Brussels
sprouts are tender. Drain and immerse in cold water to retain their
green color, then drain again.

Transfer to large bowl and add scallions, green bell pepper, pimentos
and parsley. Add Italian dressing, capers, lemon juice, hot sauce and
black pepper. Toss until well blended. Chill at least 8 hours. Serve
chilled.

This would be tasty with far less sprouts and with the sprouts
shredded, not whole.
