Sounds like she had the trees on her property to be able to do so. Must
have been fun with all your aunts putting up the peaches--hopefully the
kitchen was sizeable. (G)

Sounds good to me. Sometimes the simplest things are the most
satisfying.

We're headed for another hot and humid (both quite high) week. I'm done
with the big cooking stuff for now but revving up the sewing machines,
serger, etc.

Different era, different culture. He's a city kid, raised in the instant
(or less time) gratification time. He was sort of overwhelmed at my
folks last summer--all the wide open play space he could have and no
electronic games, etc. Computers there were for work, not play. You're a
military child of a couple of generations ago but with enough "farm
raising" you knew how to entertain yourself.

I've read about that in this area as well. Several groups have filed
suit recently to ensure courts have interpreters for them so they get a
fair deal.  It's mostly, as you say, the language and fear factors that
make them so susceptable to rip offs.
