We had a friend who was a pilot for Aloha. He got out before they went
bankrupt; they were messing with the pilot's retirement fund and he
wanted out before his retirement disappeared.

We were flying on government paid tickets--our free trip home for doing
back to back tours in Germany. Had to go with their set up but they
would have rescheduled us if we'd missed the connection. They wanted
Steve back to work.

No sweat off our back to give up a bit more luxurious setting with free
booze. We didn't have much wait time in Tampa between our landing (from
Raleigh) and take off (for Phoenix). Flew Soouthwest this time--cost a
lot less than Delta, not a lot of frills but 2 bags can be checked for
free. Found out they also fly to Albany and Buffalo so we're covered if
we need to get up that way fast. They also carry Coke products instead
of pepsi--points there in my book. (G)

No, and Steve wanted to get back before Dec. 31 in case the Y2K thing
was more than an LSD trip in someone's mind (as it turned out to be for
the most part).

 RH> Have to do some playing around with that to make sure the starchy
 RH> taste got out of the potatoes. That would be my biggest concern there.
 ML> Easy peasy. Soak 'em.
 RH> Then dry them really well.

 ML> Worth an experiment.

Got to get some taters and give it a try.
