Fortunately I don't think they fly into Adelaide - yet.

Probably the last.  I think QF has enough seats, using their A380s.

The Plateia Syntagmatos Metro station is right there.  Also buses,
unless the drivers are on strike yet again.  That area is the centre
of international and fast foods.  For better eating, the Plaka is to
be preferred.  A good place we found there was To Xani (Roadside Inn),
where I was given a free full glass of the house red wine to taste
before ordering a half litre (E3.50).  If you can, try the Santo
Assyrtiko white wine from Santorini, and if you want to go up-market
for a dessert wine, the Santo Vinsanto.  That is one of the greatest
wines I have had, anywhere.  There is no comparison between that and
some Italian rubbish of similar name.  Boutari make some reasonable
reds on the mainland.   In Greece it is not advisable to wave the
Stars and Stripes too much, and never, ever claim to be British!  If
you can put on an Australian accent, that is an advantage, as every
Greek has an uncle or nephew living in Australia.

I had visualised "swaddled" as wearing burka, in which case, no look
would have been visible; perhaps just an audible sneer.

      Title: OCTAPOTHI SOUVLAKI

      Yield: 1 servings
 
           ; PAITHAKIA
      1 kg Lamb cutlets- trimmed
      1 bn H- rosemary
    1/2 c  Olive oil
      2 tb Garlic cloves; crushed
           Sea salt
           Sp- black pepper, cracked
           ; COUSCOUS
      1 c  Couscous
      1 c  Stock- chicken
           Onions- red
           Tomatoes
           Spinach
           Capsicums- roasted
           Juice- lemon
           ; OCTAPOTHI SOUVLAKI
      1    F- octopus; giant
      2 tb Sp- oregano; rubbed
      3 tb Garlic cloves; crushed
      1    Lemons; zest of
           Salt
           Sp- black pepper, cracked
 
  PAITHAKIA/MARINATED, CHAR-GRILLED LAMB CUTLETS: Marinate the lamb
  cutlets in olive oil, rosemary, garlic, salt & pepper. Cook on a
  char-grill, to perfection.
  
  COUSCOUS: Steam the couscous in chicken stock for 15 minutes. Roughly
  chop the red onion, tomato, spinach & roast capsicum. Mix with
  couscous & lay a bed on the plate. Top with the cutlets & drizzle
  with olive oil & lemon juice.
  
  OCTOPOTHI SOUVLAKIA: Skin the octopus, cut into 3cm pieces, then
  marinate in 1/2c of olive oil. Skewer & bbq on moderate-hot
  char-grill.
  
  Dress with squeezed lemon juice & olive oil.
