Looks like your map actually has all the roads.  Boyd Pond Rd is the
town road that you would take to get in to the Pond.  If you get to the
East road (a private road for the east side of the Pond), you've gone
too far.  The private road you want (known as the West Road) is a left
turn off of the town road.  Boyd Pond Road makes a couple of tight turns
in succession, then there's a straightaway leading to a hill.  Just over
the crest of the hill is the turn for our private road.  There are some
signs for the West and East Roads just before the crest of the hill,
points left for West, and straight for East.  When you are on the
private road you will drive down it to where the cabins are (a hairpin
turn at that point).  As you make the turn you will be right in front of
our camp, W-5... the cabin we are renting is a little further down the
road, W-10, I think it says Peters on it.  There's room for a couple of
cars there, should we need more, I have room at my camp...

I don't have the county map here in front of me... so what I'm giving is
from the state map and memory.  Basically, if coming straight to the
Pond, you'd get off I81 at the Black River exit, take Rt 342 (right
turn) to Rt 3 (left turn), and then Rt 3 to the turn for Edwards and
Fine (Rt 58, left turn), take an immediate right turn (if you miss that
one, take your next right turn, I think), and turn right again at the T
(the aforementioned next right should be that road).  Turn left at the
first road (Co Rd 27, should say to Degrasse), take that to where it T's
in Degrasse.  Turn left (Co Rd 17) and go through South Russell.  Just
past, you'll be turning right onto Blanchard Hill Rd, going up a hill,
and just at the top, you turn right onto Boyd Pond Rd and keep going up
the hill a little more..  ;)

You may notice (and your GPS may suggest) that the "direct" route to the
Adirondack region is to take 3A at Deferiet... that's a good idea to do
instead of 3 to Carthage... it cuts off an otherwise diversion in the
road...  There's a couple of options to cut off a little of 342 getting
to Rt 3, but it's not that bad to just go straight to Rt 3 at Black
River.  Rt 11 is another option, but it tends to have more traffic, and
there's some major construction happening just north of 342 at one of
the gates to Fort Drum.

If you wanted to meet in Canton, where the grocery store is, I'd have to
give another set of directions... ;)  I'm not sure whether y'all will
need to get provisions first, or if you'll have enough for starters
coming in... or if you'll want to unload first before going into town to
get stuff... I'm planning to get up to the Pond at least the day before. 
And I'm pretty flexible... ;)
