Moxie is still hugely popular in NH, Maine, and eastern MA.  For a
while it was easy to find down here in Southern New England, but it's
seemed to ebb a bit lately. I can still find it, but it's hit or
miss.

Kirin is actually a pretty benevolent master.  For a long time, Moxie
was owned by Monarch Beverages in ?Georgia, and they just didn't give
a damn about it.  Monarch sold Moxie to The Coca-Cola Bottling Company
of Northern New England, which is a subsidiary of Kirin, believe it 
or not. I'm sure there's a cool story in there about how one of the
largest Coke bottling companies in the US doesn't have a single share
controlled by the Coca Cola Company.
