I'd be much fonder of pizza if my dairy issues weren't so
strong. As it is, I had two scoops of Breyer's Mrs. Fields
chocolate chunk ice cream today and am in some modest
discomfort even as I type.

That oil really makes the dish. In general, the better
the oil, the better the dish; I have had some success,
though, using leftover oil from frying schnitzel and
the like.

I wonder how that signals itself. Do the bunnies get a
sort of internal message saying, now it's time to chew
stuff to wear down my teeth so they don't penetrate my lip?

Which - to me - bespeaks a problem I have with human
control of other species: if it's to improve their
usefulness, I can sort of see that; but if it's just
to engineer something pretty, that makes me want to
say, quit doing this self-indulgent nonsense, there's
only one God (my formulation: there's a maximum of only
one God), and you're not he.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Taffy Apple Salad
 Categories: Salads, Desserts, Fruits
      Yield: 4 Servings

      1 lg Can pineapple chunks in
           -heavy syrup, separate juice
      2 c  Miniature marshmallows
      1 T  Flour
  1 1/2 T  White plain vinegar
      1    Egg
    1/2 c  Sugar
      8 oz Cool Whip
  1 1/2 c  Planter's Cocktail Peanuts
      4    Peeled apples, red or green,
           -cut in chunks

  Separate pineapple chunks. Put juice in one pot, chunks in another.

  1. Place pineapple and marshmallows in a pot and cover. Refrigerate
   overnight.
  2. Cook pineapple juice, flour, vinegar, egg and sugar over medium
  heat until thickened. Stir constantly. Refrigerate overnight. Pick
  small pieces of white fron egg out of cooked mixture.
  3. On second day, mix steps 1 & 2 together.
  4. Add Cool Whip.
  5. Refrigerate until serving.
