You're welcome. As I said, I have a couple more prestigious bottles,
but I didn't think they would have stood up to the travel.

Ain't it the truth. I'm not drinking Bordeaux much at all these
days. The demand is ridiculous (thank you, Asian Tigers) and the
prices out of sight.

We did, but it would have been better if you and Butch had
been able to take the entire nother 2 1/4 hr trip up.

Curry potatoes
cat: pseudo-Indian
servings: 4

butter
1 Tb celery seed
1 Tb black mustard seed
1 sm onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 Tb cumin, ground
1 ts turmeric, ground
1 ts coriander seed, ground
1 ts cardamom, ground
1 ts cayenne, ground
4 potatoes
salt

Note: I did not have turmeric, coriander seed, or
cardamom and omitted them. I didn't use the cayenne
on purpose. I used bacon fat instead of butter.

Toast seeds lightly in fat. Add onion and wilt over
medium heat. Add garlic and ground spices and cook
until fragrant.

Meanwhile, boil the potatoes in salted water, or at
least make sure they are cooked. Cut into bite-size
pieces. Add to onion-spice mixture. Heat through,
stirring constantly. Correct seasoning. Serve.
