What I felt the Sox needed was a younger arm
that could become a workhorse.

Working = good. Cheap also = good.

Carrying a Benadryl with one is the next best thing to
an epi-pen. The mechanisms of action aren't similar, but
the speed is pretty close, and the cost difference is
bizarre. As in 1 dose epi-pen = $100; 1 dose Benadryl +
1 syringe = $4.15 + $2. Or diphenhydramine oral liquid,
8 doses = $2. Tablets even less.

Rest is important. Billy needs a major recharge of his
batteries if he goes out for more than an hour or two,
and he's considered to be doing very well.

How much. I'm on 100, I think (the pill says 70 on it)
and am pretty gassy much of the time.

Brisket
cat: main
servings: 8

5 ts salt
4 ts pepper
2 ts thyme
1/2 ts oregano
1/4 ts rosemary
1/4 ts summer savory
4 lb brisket
2 lg sweet onions
1 c red wine
s, p

Combine seasonings to make a rub. Rub over meat.
Don't bother to rub the fat cap.

Brown brisket in a Dutch oven, fat side down. In
the rendered fat, saute onions until translucent.
Put brisket, fat side up, on the onions. Pour wine
over all. Sprinkle fat cap with salt and pepper.
Cover Dutch oven and bake at 300F for 3 hr, turning
once. Remove from oven, and turn meat a second time.
Return to 250F oven until tender, 1 more hr or so.
