Some of the things they do to tofu, it can taste like anything
at all!  By itself it's pretty tasteless... well, a very mild
taste anyway...

Holding her own is good.  :)

Adversity can go either way... some people are made more
gracious, others just get bitter.  Sad, but there it is.

My cousin used to use the hats or scarfs, never used a wig that
I know of.  She'd go bare-headed more often than not, mostly with
family and friends that she felt wouldn't take offense...
