We're hearing a lot on the news about the damage to the Outer Banks. It
appears that Morehead City itself got off easy this time. We have
touched base with my parents; their area was hit hard with flooding. The
only grocery store in town (it also brings in folks from smaller towns
with no grocery stores) was completly wiped out. Same with the CVS
beside it, a gas station with convenience store and a lot of other
businesses. They'd been hit hard in a January, 96 flood but this one was
more devastating. Dad said there had been talk of relocating the grocery
store above the flood plain in 96 but there was never any follow thru.
(Wonder if they will now-G-) My brother has a 4WD pick up truck and has
been able to get out some; he will shop for my folks on his way back
from work (and said he'd pick up healthier stuff).

Get rid of most of the germs anyway, however you can do it.

And hopefully escaped any of Irene. Sounds like Anne is slowing down a
bit; the next round of chemo will be rougher since she's wiped out from
the first. You'll have to really keep her nutrition up, easier said than
done but got to be done.

Saw a message from her a bit earlier in the packet--brief but it appears
she rode this one out in good shape. I don't think many pictures were
taken at the VB gathering; it was a small one. But, we did try that
conference phone call. (G)

I like that but I couldn't wear it as I didn't have chemo.
