 -> Today I passed up a Courvoisier. Got to do

Bedard went 4 in his last outing, which was shortened by
the hurricane. He pitched fairly well (one more K than BB)
but couldn't come back out after the hour delay.

 -> Tampa is a pretty good team, though I have difficulty
 -> admitting it.
 HN> Yeah..I know..we also just got swept 
 HN> in a three game series by the Chi-sox.
 HN> Three good pitching duels and we lost 
 HN> all of em!

The Sox didn't help their cause by losing to the
Yanks. Close to a tie for 1st, fewer than 5 per
millage points, as I recall.

 -> I won't carp about that.
 HN> And I won't be bullheaded about it!

And you'd better not pout.

 -> My tastebuds sometimes cut out these days. It's
 -> kind of peculiar.
 HN> Sugar blocking the neurons??

Don't think so. There's been no nerve damage so far.
My father had no neuropathy or other damage from his
diabetes until the very end of his life, and in him
the condition was uncontrolled for 30 years or more.

 HN> locker in the locker room

Talk about bittersweet. I hope there were colleagues
and friends around to wish you well.

What happens when the rest of the roundeyes find out
that it prevents heart problems, cancer, and depression?

 -> Projection is major work end of 2012 in Thailand.
 -> Had a friend put a post in in Massachusetts, and
 -> the cost was twice what hotel, treatment, airfare,
 -> AND lost work income would have been if she had
 -> had the work done overseas.

At the moment I'm confined to the east coast shuttle,
as it's cheap, and I'm out of travel money for the year,
having spent too much on hotels, whose rates have doubled
since 2010.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.07

      Title: La Culinaire
 Categories: Desserts
   Servings:  6

      1    Basket fresh strawberries
           -with stems
      2 oz Grand Marnier
      2    Squares white or bittersweet
           -chocolate

  Inject strawberries with Grand Marnier, using flavorizer.

  Inject gently until each berry will hold no more liquid.  Melt chocolate in
  top of a double boiler. Holding the injected berries by their stems, dip
  them one at a time into the chocolate.  Turn them stem side down onto a
  piece of wax paper that covers a plate.  When finished dipping berries,
  place plate in refrigerator and chill one hour before serving.
