My typical breakfast schedule is a glass of juice, then a cup of coffee
and finally a bowl of cereal -- often frosted mini wheats.  Gail does
coffee, and then cereal -- usually honey nut cheerios.  Picnic
breakfasts were special treats :-}}

Her version does not have raisins.  She does have a note that with
raisins, it would be called "Spotted Dog".  No caraway seeds, but it is
a round loaf -- dusted with flour on top, and cut criss-cross.


MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Naan
 Categories: Bread, Indian
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      5    Fluid ounces warm milk
      2 ts Sugar
      2 ts Yeast
  3 1/3 c  Flour
    1/2 ts Salt
      1 ts Baking powder
      2 tb Vegetable oil
      5    Fluid ounces plain yogurt
      1 lg Egg, lightly beaten
 
  Proof yeast in milk with 1 tsp. sugar.  Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  Sift flour, salt, and powder.  Add the other tsp. sugar, yeast mix,
  vegetable oil, yogurt, and egg.  Mix and form a ball of dough.  Knead
  dough until smooth and satiny.  Oil surface and cover dough, let rise
  until double in bulk.  Preheat oven to the highest temperature
  possible, with oven tiles on the base of the oven.  Punch down dough,
  roll dough into desired shape and size.  Slap naan onto oven floor
  and let cook for ~3 minutes (bread will puff).  Put bread briefly
  under the broiler to brown the top side, or else flip over halfway
