Compared to what is available here -- that is quite inexpensive.  I am
buying distilled water at $0.99 per gallon.  Other waters are about the
same price.  All in gallon jugs such as milk comes in.


MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Bhoona Curry
 Categories: Main dish, Curry, Indian
      Yield: 4 servings
 
MMMMM-------------------------SPICE MIX------------------------------
      1 ts Garam masala
      1 ts Ground coriander
    1/2 ts Chili powder
    1/2 ts Turmeric

MMMMM---------------------OTHER INGREDIENTS--------------------------
  1 1/2 lb Cubed lamb or beef
           -or pork or chicken
      2 tb Ghee or vegetable oil
      1 md Onion
      2 md Tomatoes
      2    Cloves garlic
      1 tb Vinegar
      2 oz Coconut; creamed
           -or dessicated equiv
           Salt to taste
 
  Bhoonas are dry curries with a rich, creamy coconut sauce.
  
  1. Heat oil or ghee. Fry meat for 5 to 10 minutes.
  
  2. Blend the onion, garlic, tomatoes and vinegar.
  
  3. Stir-fry the blend, spice mixture and coconut for 5 minutes.
  
  4. Combine the meat and the fried blend. Simmer until the meat is
  tender (or cook in 375F oven). The dish should be quite dry with a
  little bit of gravy. Stir frequently, adding a little water if it
  sticks. Add salt to taste.
