After your departure, the spaces are taken by large families
of Arabs (headed to Dubai or Jeddah or such places) or if the
flights to the Subcontinent are delayed, by large families of
Indians.

Lilli qualifies as a senior; I will soon. But legally speaking, the
reduction is valid only for residents. The #36 bus, I believe it
is, takes you from the subbasement of the terminal directly to Suntec,
where it is a short dodge across 4 lanes of bloodthirsty traffic to
the Conrad and its most welcome executive lounge. One goes in an
hour from the extremely comfortable airport to the less comfortable
but respectable coach to the luxurious hotel, traversing several
worlds in that time.

I'm sure they must have one in Singapore, but mostly in the USA.
A project of the same company that is behind the Carrabbas line
of Italianate restaurants (more authentically crafted) and that
is informed by the great Peter Lynch, so you know that though the
food is going to be good, the revenue stream will be better.

I was struck by an advertisement I saw on television just
the other day that indicated that the manufacturer of the
best-selling American-made automobiles is Toyota.

I actually find Al Jazeera to be one of the most reliable,
replacing the Christian Science Monitor as a top source.

I'd be happy to be the hatchet man. It's just that this
particular post of yours didn't have any vices substantial
enough to hammer on.

One of the problems of working in a DOS box. I just with a few
idle keystrokes deleted my main recipe file, wishing instead to
delete something else. Back in the real DOS days, there were
file finders and recoverers to take care of that sort of idiocy,
but they don't work when DOS is an overlay over the native fancy
new system. Ah, well, they were sour anyway.

Broiled Sushi
cat: Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean, starter
servings: 12

10 dried shiitake mushrooms
1/4 lb crabmeat (imitation or canned), shredded
1/4 lb cooked bay shrimp
1/4 lb cooked scallops, chopped
1 c sour cream
1 c mayonnaise
4 c cooked rice
1/4 c nori furikake (Japanese seasoned seaweed mix)
Korean nori

Soak mushrooms in water until soft; squeeze out excess
water, then chop caps.  In a mixing bowl, combine mushrooms,
crabmeat, shrimp, scallops, sour cream, and mayonnaise.
Place cooked rice in a 9 x 13 x 2" pan; sprinkle furikake
over rice. Top with the crabmeat mixture. Broil 8-10 min
or until browned. Spoon into Korean nori and serve.
