Yep, that can be the pits.. though for me, this is the same doc over the course
of I dunno, several years now.. oh well (g).

Oh they know I'm allergic to a number of antibiotics, keflex makes me break out
in rashes all over my face and arms, there's another one whose name escapes me
at the moment that makes me throw up as soon as I take it (g).. And now they
know that the cipro and bactrim families makes my eyes and lips swell up..

hehe.. run to the ER where then they have to admit you and get the
"hospitalist" to treat you? :) :)  Well, I'm keeping it under control with
olive leaf extract (an herbal antibiotic) and triple strength cranberry
capsules.  So I think I'll be ok.  I know the signs so I keep my eye out for
problems (nausea, etc.).

I've never had it before.. I see him Nov. 1st.. we'll see what he think then.

===Stuffed Clams===
For 12 Clam shells
Preheat oven to 350F

2 tablespoons olive oil
8 slices bacon, rendered
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped onion
2  tablespoons bacon drippings
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/3 cup Italian flavored bread crumbs pinch of oregano
2 cups chopped clams
2/3 cup clam juice
4 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese salt
pepper

Combine bacon drippings and oil in frying pan and saute garlic and onion in the
oil mixture.
Put the above in a bowl and add parsley, bread crumbs, oregano, clams, clam
juice and cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Spoon into clam shells
and top with pieces of bacon strips.  Brush the surface with a little more
olive oil.  Bake at 350F for 25 minutes, or until tops are brown.
I make my own bread crumbs with 3 or 4 slices of GF bread toasted, then ground
up in my food processor with garlic powder, thyme, oregano, parsley, basil,
salt, pepper and Italian cheese.
