 BF> Just finished reading your trip report, and enjoyed it very much. As

Thanks.

 BF> What Tour Group did you use? When we were still taking tours that we
 BF> had to fly to, we particularly liked Tauck Tours, and Brennan Tours.
 BF> But now we stick mostly to local outfits.

We have used World Wide Country tours for most of our trips. I think we
are up to number 7 with them now. You could look at their web page for
descriptions of the places they go. Lots of interesting places. They
tend to put us up in middle of the road motels, but sometimes have a
higher class of lodging -- such as the Marriott and the Stonewall
Jackson resort.

 BF> I was very pleased with your links to sites. I opened a Windows tab
 BF> to paste your links in. Then in Doc's Window I read your messages and
 BF> could quickly flip to the link as I read. I appreciate the extra work
 BF> you did to supply them.

Thank Gail also -- she pushed me to put in more than I'd had to start
with:-}}

 BF> You commented about the clumsy seating in the coal cars in the mine,
 BF> and I saw a picture taken down in the mine... it showed people sitting
 BF> watching the miner, and in the closest row a man was twisted like a
 BF> pretzel trying to see the guide. [g]

Yep -- and with our touchy backs and knees, pretzel twisting is not in
the cards for us.

 BF> Was the guide in the picture your guide? What was the accent you had
 BF> trouble understanding?

I don't know exactly which picture you saw -- but it sounds like it
captured what we felt. Not sure that I'd recognize the guide/driver on
the coal mine cart, and part of the trouble understanding him was his
accent (WV hills?) and part was not being able to see him and what he
was holding for demonstration.

 BF> Did you get to see the Cheat Hi-Falls? They looked like a nice stop
 BF> in the link you gave. Or was that not part of your tour?

I think that was one of the falls that you had to walk down a path
covered with wet leaves. I think I went a little way just to get a
peek through the trees and snap a picture, but not all the way down.

 BF> I looked at some of the reviews of the Stonewall Resort. The poorer
 BF> ones ranted on and on about the rude, stupid [my word] staff. Did you
 BF> have any problems with the staff?

Not at all, but we really did not have any dealings with them other than
in the dining area. Our only complaint would have been how spread out
the rooms were. I think our room was at least a hundred yards or two
from the dining area.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Four Great Cottage Cheese Sandwiches
 Categories: Diabetic, Sandwich, Vegetarian
      Yield: 2 sandwishes

MMMMM------------------------1ST SANDWISH-----------------------------
    1/2 c  Cottage cheese; (low-fat)
      2 tb Peanut butter;

MMMMM------------------------2ND SANDWISH-----------------------------
      1    Hard boiled egg;
    1/4 c  Alfalfa sprouts;(optional)
      1    Dill pickle; chopped

MMMMM------------------------3RD SANDWISH-----------------------------
    1/8 c  Cottage cheese;(low-fat)
      2 ts Chives;
      2 tb Cheddar cheese; grated
    1/4 c  Diced celery; finely

MMMMM------------------------4TH SANDWISH-----------------------------
    1/4 c  Cottage cheese; (low-fat)
      2 tb Raisins;
      2 tb Cashews; chopped
    1/2 ts Cinnamon;

  These are good on basic whole-wheat bread, but try having them in
  Syrian flat breads, or as open-face sandwishes heated up in the oven.
  On hot days these combinations make a cook lunch served on a bed of
  lettuce with cracker or muffins on the side.
