My trouble when I first started back was that in the time since I was an
undergradutate, computers went from taking up a whole room to net books
and smaller. Papers were done on manual (or electric) typewriters. That,
plus the length of time since I was out of school, made it a major
adjustment. Now that I'm down to 2 courses to take to get my diploma
(Woman's Studies), I've got mixed feelings--I'd like to keep going but
time (for myself and other projects I want to do) and money suggest I
stop. BTW, I've got a straight A average, didn't have that years ago.

Steve will finish his M.Div in Christian Ministry next December. He's
been taking 13 hours each semester (12 academic, Chapel Choir) so far
but will drop to 10 (9 academic plus choir) for his last couple of
semesters. He will be taking a 4th Hebrew class in spring, something he
never thought of before he started classes. He was thinking Hebrew would
be harder than Greek, turned out to be the opposite. The professors and
teaching styles had some influence on that tho.

We're working on the downsizing too. I'm hoping to have time to sew up
some of the fabric I've got--quilts, clothing, baby gifts, etc. I'm also
working on thinning out my collection of recipe clippings, print outs
from here and (some) cook books; the paper weight shed will be a savings
in moving cost.


Thankfully all but one of my classes next semester will

We live a 10 minute walk from campus. Most of the time the car is parked
(5 minute walk to church) unless we've shopping or other run around to
do.

 SD> couple of years since she's been home and I know she wants to get down

We're going to be gone for some of the break--have a wedding to go to
and want to check on family. Don't know if we'll pick up any parts for
computers or sewing stuff but there's always that possibility.

I know what you mean. NC just had a tax free week end for purchase of
energy star appliances but didn't include dishwashers in the list of
what qualified. State considers them a luxury; I consider them a
necessity. My parents are enjoying the one our daughters bought them a
couple of years ago; I think we've finally taught them how to load it
properly and check the filters on a regular basis.
