We don't have the car sickness issue, thankfully neither of the girls
did. We had the munchies with us mostly when we lived in NC before Steve
went into the Army. We'd load up the girls after supper and take off for
NY. Finances were tight so I'd have the munchies prepared while Steve
was at work. It would save us the cost of breakfast plus give Steve
something to munch on to help him keep going. The girls also appreciated
the light eats at the time. We knew we'd have a meal at the other end,
and at Steve's folks, a lot of treats to hold them over to meal time.

We would have to leave my parents really early to get to Skeeter's at
lunch time. We actually were there near supper time both trips but knew
that our friends had something fixed for us. This time the timing worked
out to an enjoyable meal. Some sculling crews were practcing in the
river--got a good view of them from up on the bluff while waiting for
our meal.
