I've never noticed a slightly bitter taste to the nuts. Then too, I
don't have the super taster ability you do. I like the sweetness with
the nuts.

I never looked to see how many layers of nuts my pies have, just that
it's more than normal. I don't know if my mom makes pecan pie; she
shouldn't eat it, being diabletic. Last year when we were up for
Christmas, we made a pumpkin roll for dessert instead of several pies.

OK, then I'll have to look and see if I can find any recipes in the
stack I'm going thru. Coming across all sorts of interesting things I
