Pretty poisonous stuff. Is she doing the tamoxifen
thing as well?

They look like little blue moles. I believe that
they are just guides for the machinery and have to
be tiny to allow for exact alignment. I wonder what
they do for people who are already tattooed where
the marks are supposed to go.

That's the way it is. Carol B. refused chemo for that
reason and just went with a tamoxifen and radiation
regimen that allowed her to stay working the whole time.

Sad to hear the delay. Of course she'll do great, but
you've mentioned this confidence issue that she has to
work on, and this just gives her more months to stew!
Speaking of stew, expect an e-mail.

Are the committee all people she's worked with, or are
they outside experts in the field? Either way, what's
in it for them? I mean, they have to take time out from
their schedules, truck out to Bodega Bay, probably stay
over, etc. It is a pretty neighborhood, but still ... .

      Title: Bailey's Bouillabaisse (Fish Stew)
 Categories: Fish/sea, Soups/stews
      Yield: 9 servings

      1 ea Onion, large diced                  2 c  Celery, diced
      3 ea Potatoes, small diced               3 c  Boiling water
      2 c  Skimmed milk                    1 1/2 lb Cod or flounder
      2 c  Broccoli, diced                     2 c  Cauliflower, diced
  1 1/2 ts Salt                              1/2 ts Pepper
    1/2 ts Marjoram                          1/2 ts Basil

  Cook the onion, celery, and potatoes in the water for 10 minutes.  Mix a
  little milk with the flour to form a soupy paste and set aside.  Add the
  remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.  Add the flour mixture, stirring
  constantly.  Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

  This is actually more like a chowder than a bouillabaisse.
  It smacks of the "health nut" but could probably become
  palatable with a splash of sherry. M's note 2011
