The operative statement in that description being "it was pretty good pizza".
College (and high-school) kids tend to become very good pizza critics. Older
people, not so much, losing the criticism gene under the convenience factor -
which may explain the continuing existence of Pizza Hut. 

OTOH, there is hope. In my travels I am see a fairish amount of obvious Pizza
Hut buildings with "FOR SALE" or "ABSOLUTE AUCTION" signs displayed
rominently.

It's sad, really. When the Carney brothers began Pizza Hut in 1958 it was
pretty good grub. Up through the early 1980s ... when they let the bean
counters and marketroids take over. Now I see that YUM! Brands is beginning to
add "Wing Street" signage to many of the remaining Pizza Hut stores.

My big problem with Pizza Hut is the same as my problem with Denny's -- if you
find a decent one and get to liking some of the offerings it is almost
guaranteed that some marketroid with a tin palate will glance at the bottom
line and kill if from the menu.

That happened at Pizza Hut with both the cavatini pasta dishes and the
calzones. I haven't eaten in a Pizza Hut for nearly 15 years as a result.

      Title: Chicken & Spinach calzone
 Categories: Poultry, Breads, Greens
      Yield: 8 servings
 
      4 lg Chicken breast halves; boned
           - skinned, in bite-size pcs
      3 tb Olive oil
      1 sm Onion; chopped
      2 lg Garlic cloves; minced
     20 oz Spinach; chopped, thawed,
           - well drained
      1 c  Cheddar cheese; grated
    1/2 c  Cheese, Parmesan, grated
    1/2 c  Olives; chopped
    1/4 c  Pimentos; chopped
      1 lb Bread dough; thawed, shaped
           - in an oblong
 
  In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add
  onions; cook for 3 minutes until onions are tender. Add
  garlic and cook for 3 to 5 minutes more.
  
  Add chicken and cook, stirring, about 8 minutes, or until
  chicken is fork tender.
  
  Set aside to cool.
  
  In a large bowl, mix the spinach, cheeses, olives, and
  pimento; fold in the chicken mixture.
  
  Place the dough, on a large greased baking pan. Spread
  chicken mixture over the dough leaving an inch border
  "clean" along the edges.
  
  Preheat the oven to 375øF/190øC.
  
  Roll the long sides toward the center, and fold in the
  ends. Place the roll seem-side down on a baking pan. Bake
  for 1 hour or until brown.
