But it will wait until next year at this point. Started pulling out
boxes (Rubbermaid type) of fabric when today when Steve wanted a
particular type for doing an embroidery machine test stitch out. Found
what he wanted but I decided to go thru the boxes that were out to
clean, sort, reorganise them. That lead to doing more boxes; by the end
of the week, I hope to have gone thru all of them. I'm getting rid of
odd small scraps, fabric I don't want, etc. BTW, I put some country
style ribs and onion into the small crock pot with bbq sauce before
starting. Main part of supper was done, just cooked potatoes (which
Steve mashed) and made wilted spinach to top them. Good eating with
little fuss.

I take short cuts sometimes but for some things, the taste is worth it.
I don't like to use canned cream of something or other soups after
reading the labels on them. I make my own white sauce instead, flavoring
it appropriately. The end result is worth the work, everybody eats
better whether they realise it or not. Last month when I did a casserole
we told the kids to take a small portion to see if they liked it or not.
They all did, some taking only about a tablespoon or so. After the
adults went thru the line, the kids went back for seconds (and some
thirds). Seeing that made every minute of the work the day before worth
the effort.
