Not to this reader. The c with a cedilla is ‡; the tzadei or
gamma is ç - I can't get the latter using the alt system but
had to cut and paste from your post.

Hard to generalize then, if franchisees have some control over
their product, rather than the home office having the control
over the franchisees. Which brings up the question of whether
consistency or quality is preferable.

If a person can do okay under one set of rules, it's more
likely that s/he can do okay under another set of rules, the
success being related as much to the ability to follow rules
as to what the rules actually are.

Interesting. Was the overuse of garlic an effort to disguise
the less than prime condition of some other ingredient, a meat
perhaps?

Unless there was a substantial amount of bad meat or fish
insufficiently cooked, I'd count red gravy an unlikely cause for
the trots, the acidity and the garlic usually being somewhat
protective. But stranger things have happened.

The save one part is also peculiar.

Penne pasta bake
cat: Italian, main
servings: 4

12 oz penne
1 lb ground chuck
1 c chopped onion
15 oz Italian style tomato sauce
14 oz diced tomatoes with Italian herbs, undrained
6 oz Italian paste with roasted garlic
1/2 c water
4 c mozzarella

Cook pasta; drain.

Cook meat and onion in a large skillet over medium-high
heat for 5 min; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, undrained
tomatoes, paste, and 1/2 c water. Cook, stirring
occasionally, for 10 min.

Layer half pasta, half sauce and half cheese in
13x9" pan; repeat. Cover and bake at 350F for 20 min.
