I've always said that given enough time everyone will be the
same sort of golden brownish color, to the benefit of all.
Harder to be prejudiced against someone who looks like you
(though the Irish have been very good at doing so).

And also the mongrels are the most beautiful.

One finds that various kinds of Chinese are among the most
prejudiced. Korean is not a compliment. Mongolian is a backtrack.

      Title: Sourdough Soda Bread
 Categories: Breads
   Servings:  6

      2 c  Whole wheat flour
      2 c  All-purpose flour
      1 ts Baking powder
  1 1/2 ts Baking soda
      1 tb Sugar
      1 pn Salt
      1 tb Honey
      1 tb Pure maple syrup
      1 ts Dried basil
    1/4 ts Dried thyme
      1 c  Sourdough starter
      1 c  Buttermilk

  Combine in a large bowl the whole wheat flour, the all-purpose flour, the
  baking powder, the baking soda, salt, and sugar and stir well

  Mix the sourdough starter and buttermilk together in a one quart cup and
  blend in the honey, maple syrup, basil and thyme

  Pour this liquid mixture into the large bowl containing flour; stir and
  knead until a dough forms

  Turn onto a floured surface and knead a few times

  Form into a round loaf and slit the top several times

  Place a pan of water on the lowest rung of the oven; preheat the oven to
  400 degrees

  Place the dough on a non-stick baking pan sprinkled with corn meal and
  place it in the oven directly above the pan of water; bake for 30 minutes
  at 400 degrees. Source unknown
