====================================================================
Ahoy Ruth!

-> -> HN> Anne swore off caffeine totally
-> -> HN> while she was pregnant. Me?
-> ->  HN> I drank her share!!
->
-> -> Is that why you're still wired?
->
-> HN> Always have been, always will be!
->
-> Some people are like that. The seminary president here is one; by the
-> end of the day, you can't hardly write fast enough to take decent notes.
-> I know, I had him as an instructor for part of my first class when we
-> started. That class ended at 9 pm; Steve had him for a 3 hour class that
-> went from 3:30-6:30 pm the same day.
->
Better to face life with energy and
joy!

-> -> HN> However they are pretty high on the
-> -> HN> glycemic index and I think we may
-> -> HN> be phasing them into a less often
-> ->  HN> rotation.
->
-> -> A lot of time Steve buys them from the bulk bins at Whole Foods so we
-> -> don't have (at home) the breakdown. Suppose we could on their web
site
-> -> and find it.................
->
-> HN> I suppose it would be there or somewhere
->  HN> on the I-net.
->
-> Search hard enough and most anything will turn up there.
->
Yep!

-> -> HN> We also have mini quiches for "just in case"
->
-> -> Now that sounds like a good idea! What size pan do you use for them?
->
-> HN> Pre made and frozen from Trader Joe's.
-> HN> Several different flavors and just
-> HN> the right size for one.
->
-> OK, I thought you made them. I'll look at them at TJ's and decide if I
-> want to buy them or take the time to do my own. I was thinking of doing
-> individual turkey pot pies for supper but decided to use up some odds
-> and ends I had in the fridge. Those, with a just bought bag of spinach,
-> went into bebimbap. First time I've made it but Steve said the recipe
-> (from newest Cooking Light) is a keeper.
->
I do make quiches but they are larger
than the ones from TJ's and I freeze
them after I make them. When I bring
one of those out it is usually for
dinner or several breakfasts.

-> ->  HN> A 2 egg omelette is just not right!
->
-> -> A 2 egg omelette made from large eggs is good, to bordering almost on
-> -> the too big size for me. Depends on what the fillings are; if they're
-> -> light, 2 eggs are OK but if they are multiple, heavier ones, a 1.5
egg
-> -> omelette is better. Sometimes Steve will make a 4 egg one and I'll
take
-> -> about 3/8 worth.
->
-> HN> If I'm scrambling eggs, two is fine
->  HN> if I'm making omelettes it's gotta
->  HN> be a three egger.
->
-> I did a one egg scramble today because I had some browned mashed
-> potatoes to go with it. Didn't bother to take the time to cook grits so
-> had a banana, large (10 oz) orange juice & British blend hot tea to go
-> with it. Potatoes were maybe about 1/3 cup, left over from a couple of
-> nights ago--not worth making into potato cakes but not worth tossing out
-> either.
->
One is just not enough egg to
satisfy me...sometimes two
don't seem to be enough either!

-> -> HN> Washington is the EVERGREEN state, we have
-> -> HN> zillions of doug fir trees, spruces, hemlocks
-> ->  HN> and others...when it's pollen time you can
-> -> HN> call most cars "dust yellow"!
->
-> -> We had that in GA and have it here in the spring. It's probably worse
up
-> -> your way but miserable enough here. We've had such a mild winter
things
-> -> are pollenating (and even blossoming) already, way too early. It'll
be
-> -> an early, and probably miserable for allergies, spring.
->
->  HN> Anne suffers quite a bit.
->
-> Air conditioning is a big help times like that, especially if the
-> filters are kept clean.
->
We only have one airconditioner and
it's for bedroom use. Not being
used at all this time of year!

-> -> HN> we are doing our best to weather each
-> ->  HN> storm as it comes!!
->
-> -> And no end of the sessions blizzard. DONE! FINISHED! OVER! YEEHAA!
-> -> WHOOPIE! YAY! ALL GONE! NO MORE! GRADUATED! (Does it look like I'm
-> -> happy?)
->
-> HN> Yes! We are too, but things
-> HN> have been quite "intense" since
-> HN> her last treatment last Wednesday.
->  HN> She's really been suffering..and
-> HN> this morning it seems her back has
-> HN> "gone out" as well!
->
-> But you had a good visit with Amanda in that time, I presume.
->
We had a great time with Amanda!
She's safely back in Sacramento
at her office now, but we sure
enjoyed the short visit!! It was
great for Anne's morale and mine
too!
Chat with you soon!
