I recently purchased some white fungus. Not much too it except its
weird texture. I'm not sure if I will buy it again or not.

MMMMM-----Meal-Master - formatted by MMCONV  2.10

     Title: Lotus Seed White Fungus Soup
Categories: Chinese, Soups
  Servings: 4

     15 g  lotus seeds
     15 g  white fungus (washed and
           soaked)
     15 g  lily bulbs
     15 g  dried goji berries
     15 g  dried longans
           Honey to taste

Wash lotus seeds and lily bulbs. Place them in a pot with cool water
to cover and soak for 1 hour.Add white fungus and dried goji
berries. Bring to a boil and then simmer over low to medium heat
until they are soft. Add honey to taste, then serve.

     Title: Candy Pear With White Fungus Soup 
Categories: Chinese, Soups
  Servings: 2

      2    pears, peeled, cut into
      1    inch cubes 
     10    red dates, seeded, cut into
           half 
      2    pieces white fungus 
           water
      5    rock sugar 

Soak the white fungus in warm water, about 20 minutes, then trim off
the stems and drain through a sieve to remove any dirt or sand, then
cut into small pieces. 

Put the pear cubes, and white fungus into a pot, add 5 rock sugar,
and enough water, turn heat to high and cook for about 20 minutes,
add water if needed. 

Then add red dates into it, dail down to simmer another 15 minutes,
stop cooking until done. 

Ladle into warmed bowls, serve hot.
