In other words ... business as usual. I noted an advertising sign in front of a
local retail bottle shop offering Kendall-Jackson Chard and S-B at
U$7.99/750ml. I think that's likely to be a pretty good price. But, never have
tried (knowingly)  K-J grape juice ... I dunno.

As today is 17 March the US is doing it other annual March Madness with all
manner of Irish Descended, Irish wannabe, and just plain party animals warming
up to celebrate the old Snake Killer and prance about in green coloured
clothing. For myself, I have my orange shirt ready to don as soon as I can
safely shed my work uniform. The sad part is that no one but a real Irishman
will understand the significance of wearing orange on St. Paddy's day.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Israeli Orange Chicken
 Categories: Poultry, Citrus, Wine
      Yield: 8 Servings
 
      5 lb Roasting chicken (2 kg)
      2 lg Oranges; whole
      1 lg Onion; in large slices
    1/2 c  Orange juice; fresh squeezed
      2 tb Ginger; fresh grated
      2 tb Honey
    1/2 c  Wine
 
  Rinse and dry chicken. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Insert
  one whole orange in the chicken. Place in roasting pan,
  breast side down. Surround with onion slices.
  
  Mix juice with the ginger, and pour over the chicken. Roast
  uncovered at 350øF/175øC for 1/2 hour.
  
  Remove chicken from the oven, turn over, and smear with
  honey. Surround the chicken with the second orange, sliced,
  and return to the oven. After five minutes, baste with wine
  and pan juices. If browning too quickly, cover with foil.
  Baste again, after 1/2 hour. continue cooking until
  drumsticks are removed easily, about 1 more hour.
  
  Remove the orange from the chicken, and slice it. Garnish
  with herbs, as per taste.
  
  Note: Haroseth makes a good stuffing for this dish....
