 DS> Of course, you are welcome anytime.  If you had called on Friday,
 DS> you'd have been invited to come up and help our son do his birthday

That would have been fun, and I am most appreciative of
your offer. And I really thought about this, as recently
as last night. As you can guess, I am part of his therapy,
and my friends are almost all of my therapy (alcohol is
the rest). On this occasion I figured he needed a session.
I was not wrong, only now I need one as well!

Speaking of which, I am fairly certain that insanity is
contagious, and leaving town tomorrow is none too soon.
That's to say "today," as that's when you'll be reading
this no doubt.

I'm frontloading my messages this month, anticipating that
later on I will have a week without the time to do the FIDO:
mostly meetings, though one of these was to be a planning
session for what turns out to appear to be a dubious enterprise,
so the people I know who got me into it have pulled out, and
I have too. Also I have a trip report backlog, the better to
post pad with.

 DS> There was a ratatouille, some sort of soup/stew with root vegetables
 DS> which was served over couscous, a lentil soup and gazpacho.  There was
 DS> falafal, spanakopita done up in phylo dough like little egg rolls,
 DS> humus and two types of bulgar salads.  There was some tzatziki sauce.

I admit that one can eat well on a vegetarian diet. My
position though is one eats much better meatarianly.

I noticed in retrospect, and pondering on this, the possibilities
are 1. sometime while changing time zones, I fixed the time but
somehow got AM and PM mixed up; 2. I am working with an outdated
version of XP that corrects for daylight savings on the wrong day.

This all is exacerbated by my having been, since I last synched my
computer, in 4 time zones (one of them twice, one of them three
times - total of 7 changes) that celebrate daylight savings in
different ways and in one case not at all. I believe but am not
sure that my computer is now set for the right time. Tomorrow
(today) I will be an hour early to the airport just in case.

Did I tell you about the time in Paris when Carol B. and I arrived
at the airport in what we thought was plenty of time to spend an
hour at the lounge swilling brandy and eating croissants ... only
it turned out that Europe had sneakily gone on daylight time that
morning, and it was all we could do to catch the flight?  I asked
the desk agent how to get to the club, and she looked at me funny
and said, club nothing, you'll be lucky to get on the plane.

He absolutely loooooves to drive and would be in hog heaven if
he got me to accompany him to the real Crisfield, especially
if I paid for the gas.

---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.01

      Title: Pierogi Fillings, Sauerkraut
 Categories: Polish, Pasta
      Yield: 12 servings

---------------------------------SAUERKRAUT---------------------------------
      2 lb Sauerkraut                        1/2 lb Diced salt pork (optional)
      1 lg Onion (thinly sliced)             1/2 lb Butter (optional)
           Sugar to taste                           Fresh shredded cabbage
           Salt and pepper to taste                 -(optional)
    1/2 lb Diced bacon (optional)  or               Diced mushrooms (optional)

    Rinse sauerkraut and drain well.  Saute sauerkraut along with the onions
  in butter, bacon or salt pork for approximately 20 minutes on low heat, in
  a covered pan, stirring from time to time. Add salt, pepper, sugar
  (mushrooms if desired).  Cool. * It doesn't say what to do with the
  shredded cabbage. Source unknown
