When challenged on the first claim he actually went into his room
and found three or four among all the debris (one he wasn't sure
of, because he said he had stepped on it ten times). Of course,
they may have been imaginary, as my eyesight isn't good enough to
determine what he was pointing at.

Too cute to be deadly, eh. They probably also said that about

Very funny.

One mouse isn't much of a problem. Two mice, that's a problem,
mostly if one's a boy and one's a girl.

That an 11 oz bottle is a suitable serving doesn't justify
calling it anything but a suitable serving! It's another case
similar to what has happened with crab ... I called them out
when they started putting surimi on menus as crab, but nobody
else did, and nobody does now, and we've got a whole generation
or two that thinks that krab is crab. So you have these 11 oz
pints, and then they'll be 10 oz, and then the end of civilization.

I might have told this story about a supposedly English place
in Houston where I was taken (oddly) for my birthday once, I
think #15; I think it was called the Red Lion, but it was
certainly different from what is now named that. Anyhow, I
ordered steak and kidney pie, and of course there weren't any
kidneys, and my father called over the host, who explained
that they used to put them in, but people didn't like them,
so they just started substituting mushrooms.

---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.01

      Title: Baked Kibbee
 Categories: Ethnic, Beef, Lamb
      Yield: 5 servings

      2 lb Raw kibbee                        1/4 c  Pine nuts
      1 lb Meat filling                        1 pn Cinnamon
    1/2 c  Onion                               4 tb Olive oli

  Pour 2 T. olive oil in bottom of 9x13 in pan.  Divide raw kibbee in half
  and press half into pan.  Cover with meat filling and press other half of
  kibbee on top. Spread remaining olive oil on top.  Bake until deep brown at
  375 degrees. Meat filling: Coarse grind 1lb. beef or lamb ( I prefer Lamb
  for filling) Brown pine nuts in butter and add onions until translucent.
  Brown meat with pinch of cinnamon.  Combine with pine nuts and onions Serve
  with plain yogurt. Things I forget to tell you: Just before kibbee is ready
  to go into oven, score the top layer(about 1/2 inch deep) into 2 inch
