Steve likes it better than I do. If he catches on in time, he can ward
off a sinus infection. Trouble is, he doesn't always catch it in time.
Thought he had the last time but it came back around and bit him hard.

She knew good food and how to eat it with good manners then. Got to be
able to show some proper upbringing if you're in that class of folks,
even if you've been brought up "hillbilly" style. When in doubt, follow
the example of your fellow diners.

Your own, I presume. I did the "first slice" thing with Steve but this
was the second wedding cake I've had to cut up for serving. First was
for a friend in AZ about 18 years ago.

-> Very much so, especially as the end of the semester approaches.

For sure! But, my time of writing papers and reading for course work
will be ending very soon. I've got 2 2-4 page papers to write, sign off
on a reading statement and turn it all in (probably electronically).
Then I'll be back to the sewing machine big time, not planning to can or
other putting up this summer.

-> It's the only way I do major sewing projects.

Very much so with my wrists the way they are. I do a lot of hand sewing
in clothing construction tho, some areas have to be done that way.

How old is your great niece? Can great grandmother teach her some of the
old skills?

That would add difficulty to even a simple job.

I presume she usually does, so she's probably traveling.

-> general grouping (Mexican, Chinese, etc) do the same basic meals.

And probably ended up with a good meal or walked out again. I like the
European way of posting the menu so it can be seen before you go
it--gives you an idea of what's available and at what price. Helps make
the decision easier, especially in an area with a number of places that
look interesting.

Ouch; in the later years, mine usually went away in 6-8 hours with the
better meds.
