Hi Ruth,

Certainly true :(

Yes, I know what you mean there. Hard to deal with at times but you know it
has to be.
My mom passed away this March, after a severe resurgence of the cancers she'd
had, plus a number of new ones. It was rough for everyone. I still think of
giving her a call most days. It was quick though for her, with her getting
very ill one morning and her passing that evening at about 2:30AM. Fortunately
for me, I'd called her the morning before, so we talked for a bit which was
wonderful.
>>> like Ron. Ron's mom always used to tell me that everyone considered
>>> Ron to be like a wise old man when he was just a kid (g).

>> LOL so true :) :)
> Is he the family patriarch now or does he have an older brother?
No older brother, so yes, he's the old man of the family (g).

Yes, the rates are insane here as well if you go out of plan.. worse yet if the
proceedure isn't covered by the plan you have :) We've run into that kind of
thing a few times.. Now when the plan changes we make a point of pouring over
the new "manual" hehe.. what was covered earlier may not be covered "now".

hehe.. yes, sounds like me in the grocery store :) :)
>> I remember getting so upset with a pizza place in Warwick when we

We try to support local business when we can, to let them know we appreciate
their restaurant, etc. The chinese place that opened up across the street from
our house here in Windsor is still going strong which is good. When we stop in
there, I always look to see what kind of business they're doing and it still
looks good.. so when we leave Windsor, I believe they'll still be "ok".
>> understand what it must be like for new businesses, but it's such a

That's a good sign of it getting a good amount of business, it would seem.

That's scarey given that it was chicken.. I would have nuked it as well :)

Always nice when portions are generous enough to go for another meal :) Our
chinese restaurant here in Windor is like that.. always enough for another meal
which is great :)
>>> glad > Steve kept the sound baffle blanket from the old one to put on
>>> the new > one; it definatly cuts down on the sound.
>>> hehe.. yes, glad you mentioned that kind of thing. That will also be
>>> a consideratio since the living room and study will be very close by!

Thinking about it, the house is so solidly built, you hear nothing from the
street (a main road into Ithaca), or from rooms within the house. I think it
will be fine all in all as far as noises from appliances go.
>> Yep.. I essentially do that here now since we've rearranged the rooms
>> and room that was the Dining room here is now the living room :)
> We had pocket doors between the kitchen and living/dining room in a few
> places; they did a good job of keeping the sound in the kitchen.
When you see the stone work one of the owners put into our new place, you'll
see what I mean about why it's probably a very "quiet" house .. hehe.. we'll
see if the neighbors can hear or dogs barking in the house I guess :) :)
>> Understand that one.. we'll be doing quite a bit of painting here as
>> well once we've finished moving to the new house. At least not having
>> all the furniture in the house should help that go quickly.
> And get a power spray painter--lots faster than brushes.
You can do that on some of the walls, no doubt. Certainly upstairs where there
isn't as much wood trim. Downstairs, we'll probably do it the 'old fashioned
way'.
>>> Yes and darn it, it will be good excercise for me to use those darn
>>> steps twice a day hehehehe
>> > Twice a day but don't overdo.
>> I shouldn't have to really...
> You'ld be surprisd, especially if you want to put away clean laundry, do
> something in the extra bedroom (sewing room), etc how often you will
> "run the stairs".
One thing you figure out quick with MS, is how to reduce "steps taken" (g). I'm
sure you went though the same type thing when you went through our chemo, etc..
or even asthma related problems. Organization wins (g). IOW, no one will
complain too much if you wait to put the clean clothes away the next time you
go upstairs (g).. that and getting others to help with that chore works as well
:) (namely Ron (g)).
Take care,
Janis
