I have looked those over. Oddly enough they were built in the CRV platform. The
people I know who have them really like them. I recommended one to a friend who
is 87 and lives in the boonies, preferring to have all-wheel drive on his
vehicles. His Subaru is getting harder for him to get into, and the instrument
cluster is dark enough that he has trouble seeing the speed pressure gauge. I
also thought about it for Georgia, who, with her wonky back has problems
getting in and out of many vehicles. Her objection to it was that to open the
rear doors you had to first open the front door to get to the door handle for
the back door.

2011 was the last model year for the Element. Apparently it was not selling in
sufficient numbers to keep Honda's bean counters happy. A car I looked at my
myself has also been discontinued - the Chevy HHR. When GM redesigned its
econo-box (Cobalt) into the Cruze the HHR did not fit that platform. So, 2011
is the last year for that retro-looking vehicle that gets well over 30 MPG.

On my last parts delivery run to Iowa I saw a Chevy Volt on the highway between
Keokuck and Fort Madison. Why anyone would pay U$32K for a tarted-up golf cart
is beyond me. I try to be as green as I can. But, that's just, just, .......

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Green Rice
 Categories: Rice, Greens, Cheese
      Yield: 2 servings
 
      3 c  Chicken stock
      2 tb Butter
    1/2    Shallot; peeled, chopped
      1 c  Arborio rice; unwashed
      1 c  Fresh spinach; raw
      6    Fresh parsley sprigs; no
           - stems
           Sea salt & fresh ground
           - white pepper
    1/2 c  Parmesan cheese; grated
 
  Pour broth into a saucepan and simmer slowly while cooking
  rice. Heat butter in a sauté pan or skillet, stir shallot
  into butter, and cook 1 minute. Add rice; stir into butter
  until well coated.
  
  With a chef's knife chop spinach and parsley coarsely;
  stir into pan; add 1 cup hot broth and cook about 3
  minutes until absorbed. Pour in second cup of broth and
  simmer 4-5 minutes until rice is tender but firm in
  center. If rice is hard, add hot broth 1/2 cup at a time
  until cooked, and season to taste.
  
  Rice should be creamy and all liquid absorbed; when done,
  remove from heat, add grated cheese, and serve hot.
  
  NOTES: The Italians say: "Wash your hands, but never wash
  the rice."
