In my sister's situation, she needed the therapy. There was no way she
could get around that. Trouble is, as she went off the meds, my sister,
brother & I could see her crashing; my parents refused to see it and
actually accused us of something like bullying her. They realised it
when my sister crashed hard--while we were travelling so we had to make
a fast trip back to NY.

My sympathies; my sister is functional, holds down a job but won't ever
reach the glass ceiling in her department.

Unfortunate and sad but it made you into who you are now.

I can't do that with anyone in my family. BTW, talking about food, looks
like we will have to miss the picnic due to a family event being planned
for that week end. Steve's talking with his younger sister now; she
wants a family get together while Mom & Dad are in NY & that's the only
week end it will work. SIGH!

Time for a chilly pilly?

We cooked for Life Group today, made a taco salad. Steve ground a chuck
roast in a coarse (chili) grind, seasoned it with tomato sauce, green &
red bell peppers, onions, garlic powder, ancho chili, cumin, s&p,
Mexican oregano & a spice blend we got in MD. Cooked it about 18 hours
in the crock pot on low; it vanished! Toppings were (canned refried
beans, fresh lettuce & tomato, cheese, salsa & sour cream. We brought
home a bit each of the lettuce, tomato & sour cream plus about 1/4 bag
of chips (started with 2). It was enjoyed by all.
