We don't see A&W stuffed into a co-location with the Colonel in the Great
American Outback. All of the KFC stores in the bigger cities are stand alone.
In the smaller towns and larger hamlets there is likely to be a KFC-LJS or
KFC-Taco Bell operation. Colonel on one side and the alternity on the other. In
Keokuk, Iowa there are KFC stand-alones, an LJS-KFC combination, and right
across the parking lot from that one a Taco Bell. Also a little further out
there is a KFC-Taco Bell. Yum Brands will leave no penny unsought.  Bv)=

But, I have yet to see my first A&W-KFC location. Or my first triple ...
although I used to see KFC-Burger King-LJS operations on the toll way plazas
around Chicago. But, Burger Whop is no longer under that umbrella.

That's what I'm talking about. Our last A&W was built in the 50s, "updated" in
the late 60s to add speaker to order-bot ordering (like Sonic does now), and
then in the late 70s converted to a Burger King - which went tits-up in the
mid-80s. It's now West Side Package Liquors.

That would be wonderfully cool. If your old Henry is reliable enough you should
do the trip some time. Maybe when the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour comes
through. It's the sort of place they would detour to.

      Title: Cherry Frozen Yogurt Sundaes W/Root Beer Syrup
 Categories: Desserts, Dairy, Fruits
      Yield: 8 servings
 
MMMMM---------------------------YOGURT--------------------------------
      3 c  Plain Greek-style yogurt
    1/2 c  Sugar
    1/2 c  Light corn syrup
      1 tb Vanilla extract
      2 c  Pitted and chopped fresh
           - sweet cherries

MMMMM----------------------ROOT BEER SYRUP---------------------------
     12 oz Bottle root beer
    1/4 c  Sugar
 
  Whisk together yogurt, sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla in a
  large glass measuring cup until sugar dissolves. Chill
  yogurt mixture at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours.
  
  Pour yogurt mixture into the chilled canister of an ice
  cream machine and freeze according to the manufacturer's
  directions. When yogurt is thick and nearly churned, add the
  chopped cherries. Transfer frozen yogurt to an airtight
  freezer-safe container; freeze until solid.
  
  Stir together root beer and sugar for the syrup in a small
  saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce
  heat, and simmer until reduced to a syrupy consistency,
  about 25 minutes. (You should have about 1/2 cup syrup.)
  Chill syrup until ready to serve.
  
  Thaw frozen yogurt at room temperature 10-15 minutes for
  easier scooping. To serve, scoop 1/2 cup frozen yogurt into
  each sundae glass. Drizzle 1 Tbsp. syrup over each serving.
