Remarkable. There was quite a bit of it in Alaska. I
kept from scaring away my friends thanks in large part to
a huge guantity of DayQuil (somewhat ineffective) and
NyQuil (somewhat effective). You know how in a conveyance
or a room it can be really quiet, and someone clears their
throat, and next thing you know it's a cacophany of coughs,
sneezes, and snorts. Happened on most of my flights, and
sometimes the instigator was not myself.

The plane lands there on its way to Nome. Gives people a
thrill being above the Circle. Over a couple days we did the
ANC-OTZ-OME-ANC circle, and on the OME-ANC leg, there were
tons of people already there when we got on, so that means
that there must be a large number of people ready to leave
Kotzebue for the big city.

From the window of the airplane one could have if it hadn't
been so cloudy. And from the end of the maintained road in
Teller, on a clear clear day, if there be such, it might be
possible if one looked at 275-285 degrees, as Siberia is
but 120 miles away.

In Anchorage, not as big pizzas were even more expensive.

I was going to put my feet in, but the sand was weird-

I don't know. The package is labeled "reindeer sausage,"
and there's "2% reindeer" in small print. with the stuff
listed with polysorbate and various fillers in the "contains
2% or less" section.

Alpaca is said to taste like lamb, and I'd eat it if offered.

      Title: Raisin Peanut Fudge
 Categories: Candies, Christmas
   Servings:  6

      2 c  Icing sugar
      1 c  Butter or margarine
    1/2 c  Peanut butter.
      1 c  Chopped salted peanuts
      1 c  Raisins

  Melt butter in a saucepan and heat until bubbly. Add the peanut butter and
  continue heating until peanut butter becomes smooth and more liquidy.  Pour
  into the icing sugar and then add the nuts and raisins.  Mix together until
  thoroughly combined.  Spoon into a greased 8 inch square pan and chill
  until set. Store in refrigerator.
